Hi, everybody,
any help with a LOV problem ? Under Tools/Universe/ListsOfValues/Display the LOV in question contains correct values, however, in a report using this
same Universe, under EditDataProvider/Run/LOV for one of the report parameters this list contains values that belong to another Universe. The LOV in question contains journal period values from my ORACLE database; I’m running BO 4.1. Until now I’ve tried Scan & Repair, deleting the Universe and its associated LOVs, importing it again etc. … I’m at a total loss right now - any suggestions ??? Oh, another point : typing an appropriate value into the parameter box (instead of selecting it from the LOV) works fine. Any pointers greatly appreciated ! Thanks,
Irena

perhaps you copied the object definition from another object, which in tzhis case will include the LOV definition for the object. Normally this works for objects within the same universe, I never tried with objects from different universes.
In the objects properties dialog there is the LOV ‘name’ definition, which can be ‘reset’ to some default settings which normally should work…
Hope this helps

Was the document built against one Universe & changed to run against another? If so,
their is a BO bug which will Incorrectly update the list of values when using the Change Source functionality.
Fix (with limitation) : When a single prompt is shared by 2 different data providers,
if a change source is performed on the first data provider it has to be done on the second one
also before a refresh is performed.
