I was just wondering if anyone has had any experience writing a custom function in a .DLL and then making that function accessible through Business Objects? If so, where can I get more info on how to do this.
I know how to have a stored procedure “appear” as a new function available to BusinessObjects, but am now curious to attempt the same with a .DLL. Anyone have any insight into this?

Go to the Integra Solutions website whereby they have specific examples for adding Oracle stored functions and other tricks for BusinessObjects. Sorry couldn’t give you exact URL as can’t gain access to Web at current time.
Thank you for your reply, however, I already know how to make a stored procedure appear as a BO function. What I’m attempting to do now is get a custom function, which is written in a .DLL, to apear as a BO function. Anyone ever done this before?
btw the URL to the site you mentioned is www.islink.com. A very helpful resource.
There are examples available on the CD (I guess), but it depends on which version of BusinessObjects you are running.
BTW: To ALL LISTERS, please include your BusinessObjects version number on all of your requests. Some things are really different between V4 and V5, esp. Object model, Dev. Environment, and some more…
