ifi have a sum two times for the measure is it summed twice

can we have a measure object with sum in select statement of the object and sum in the object properties definition of the object .if i have a sum two times will the object is going to be summed twice where as it has to be done once

iam confused with this issue

The SUM in the SELECT box of a universe objects relates to SQL aggregation and forces a GROUB BY in the SQL statement generated by BusinessObjects whenever dimensions are involved.
This data is returned into the microcube of your data provider and is displayed in your report (as a default).

Now, within the report you can decide to not show any dimensions, BusinessObjects will then project the measure (no SQL is run at this time!). The projection is set under object properties in the universe.

SQL Aggregation and projection must go hand in hand.
