How to recover deleted universe

Hi,

I have deleted the universe from the repository, which I have developed and exported to repository. Is it going to delete the local copy universe from my system from where I have exported ?
When I was trying to open the local copy universe to modify and it says you are not authorized to open.

I will appreciate any inputs

What version are you using?

If you are using 6.5 or earlier you can still open the universe using the General Supervisor account. If you are on XI then you need the fix provided here:

I'm getting an error attempting to open an XIR2 universe file from another CMS: "You are not authorized to use this document (FRM 00008). Details: The universe belongs to another CMS. You cannot open it unless you are connected to the same CMS from which it was imported." I've an Oracle 9.2 DB with W2003 server and I'm logged into Designer as Administrator. How do you move universe files from one CMS to another?
