HoW to create prompt variables with blank values.

For eg. I have place,county,region as prompt variables. How to create a condition so that if i give blank also the values would be taken.

To summarize:
Prompts are not optional in Business Objects, but must always be populated with a value. You can choose to create a predefined condition in the universe allowing you to enter some wildcard character such as “*”, etc.
