How to merge 2 differents reports files in 1 report

Dear all !

I developped several single reports. I mean, for each document ( a .rep file ) i’ve got only one report inside.

Now i’m interresting in a kind of merge / fusion

ie: 1 big .rep file => 1 document but several reports inside.

You can easily add extra reports on your document (empty one) but I don’t know how to get existing reports.

I don’t want to do the job again ^^ with the new reports.

Any idea ?

You probably expected this, but you can copy , delete or add and empty report WITHIN a document. Merging reports from different documents is no option, which is easily understood. Each document holds it’ s own set of objects, variables and formulae, so you would run into an incompatibility issues…

Ok ! I understand the compatibility issues.

But in case of multiple manners or views from the same data …

Never mind

There is an option in BOB’s Downloads area that you might want to check out. It allows you to duplicate a data provider, including the ability to move the data provider to another document. Once you have done that, you can use templates to recreate your reports.

So while it is not directly supported, you can get something done easier than recreating all of the separate reports into the single document that you want to keep.

Take a look at either of the following topics:

Data Provider Utilities
Copy Data Providers / Copy Report Variables
