How to increase the size of the heap memory of BCA?

Hi All,

I got this error when I try to send a report to BCA:

Error Code = 0x800706be, Error Message = 'Remote Procedure Call Failed. ', Wcode = 0x00000000, description = ‘(null)’

I founded follow resolution in the Knowledge Base:

But I have BO 6.1b and there is no file SERVCONF.EXE. I founded only SERVCONF.DLL. So my question is how I can increase the size of the interactive desktop heap memory used by BCA in BO 6.1b?

firstly i would revise that entry as you are not allowed to copy and paste res entries on to here. :smiley:

In v 6 you have to manually edit the registry. check res entry 13155 which claims that heap size settings are no longer applicable to v6. Not sure where in the reg the setting is held.t

Hi Kris,

thank you for your advise. It seems to be, that the heap settings are no longer applicable in BO 6. Have you any idea what causes my issue?

Check out this FAQ. That is one solution that has nothing to do with heap size.

They removed the Servconf program for e6 and you can no longer change the heap sizes…

I found how to change the heap size in Microsoft Q142676. I’m testing a setting of 1024 to try to address a seperate issue that I have with V6.5.1.
