how to export repository

hi
my question is simple but i couldnt find solution
i am going to migrate from 6.1.a to 6.5.1. I am planning to make a test environment. i have few questions …

  1. how do i copy the repository?
  2. how do i take a back up copy?
  3. do i install 6.5.1 on the test environment 1st? if yes do i install all features?
  4. how do i export the universe and reports to the new test environment? Also do i export the original or copies?
  5. If i export copies, when do i export the original universe and reports?
  6. how do i upgrade the Zabo users from 6.1.a to 6.5.1?
  7. how do i move the repository from test to production?
    If there is any documentation available let me know.

First, you should read this entry from the Supervisor FAQ on How to Move your Repository.

As for “how” to copy the repository and how to take a backup copy – you should talk to your DBA about how to do that. You can do a search to find where people have references to repository documentation – so you can then figure out what tables are part of each domain (security, document, universe).

I’ll let other folks chime in with suggestions for some of your other questions.
