How to design BO Security Architecture?

Hi,

We are planning to deploy the reporting solution to Business Objects before that we thought of hainvg the design on Bo Security Architecture (Logical Content Planning)

Could anybody please guide me on this?

Frankly speaking I am not sure about the requirements :frowning: . It would be great if you could help me in understanding the components does BO security Architecture contains and why this Architecture is designed so that I will have an idea what exactly I require.

Hi Mak,

The presentation was very much helpful. I would like to know few below things.

  1. BO Security is open model or closed model being implemented?
  2. How are rights assigned to users using inheritance?

could you please clarify what do you understand by the above 2 statements?

For a new project we are planning to build a security model which addresses the BO security requirements.

What I mean by open model, initially provide explicit grant to the users and later explicitly deny the access. Closed model is initially the users will have unspecified access and later explicity grant access.
So i am wondering how to put up this in the form of a document and what are the pros and cons of both the models.

If any body worked on in creating the Security model request you to suggest what is the best approach i should follow in building the same.

Please let me know if the requirement is clear. Thanks!
