How to calculate the difference in 2 dates

How do you calculate the difference between a “Start date” and an “End date” . I am importing the data from an Excel file. The dates are in the format “mm/dd/yyyy HH:mm:ss”.

Make sure that the data from MS Excel comes into the microcube as data type DATE (and not as character). Then use the Business Objects Reporter function DaysBetween.
