How to bY Pass Values

Hi All,

I am new to business Object XI R2. I have requirement to create prompt in universe. When Users select multiple prompts it has to by pass the prompts which users didn’t provide the information.

Please let me know ASAP.

Default behaviour: All prompts have to be filled to run a report
Workarounds or ways to not pass values to prompts can be done by just using an ‘ALL’ or ‘*’ which will run the report for all values.

For Creating the formula do i need to @Prompt function to to mention ‘All’ or ‘*’ value to by pass the value for the prompt.

Yes you have to use @prompt function and its not by passing the prompt.
If you have searched the forums, the functionality should be clear.

Do not forget to look at Designer’s FAQ which is a sticky topic in Semantic Layer forum.

First 2 FAQs are about “ALL” in the prompt.
