We have a consultant here who created a cube, which he can access from the full-client by pointing to the cube where it’s stored.
The end users will be accessing the cube from WebI, however. How do we make the Olap Cube visible to them ? Do we need to configure something on the WebI server ?
Thanks.

Which version of BO you are using ?
Is this Cube an Oracle Cube (9i) or something else?

We’re using 5.1.x version and the cube is MDX Connect, which I gather is Microsoft SQL Server based ?!?

First You need to install appropriate OLAP access pack on the server. and then you need to configure it .
Hope it helps

That’s the problem. Configure what ?!?
I believe we’ve already installed the Olap pack on the server, hence we are seeing that Olap is an available data source when we go into WebI and select Create Documents.
We are just not seeing anything there when we click the Olap link.

Does the DBA have to configure an ODBC driver on the WebI server to point to the cube ?
Is that the configuration you’re talking about ?

Launch Business Objects on Webi server and try to create a report using OLAP cube. This will confirm the connectivuty to the cube.
