How can i get only the list of class names in the universe?

Hi,
I want to put all the class namesi n my universe into an excel sheet ? Is there any way in BO by which i can achieve this. Right now im just doing it manually by writing it down one by one.
I tried creating a report with 0 records and then saving it as an excel, but here it gives names of all the objects in the class but not the class name.
Please give me some idea on how to achieve this.

You could run a query against the repository tables. In v5 I think the relevant table is called UNV_CLASS. However, is manually entering the names in Excel such a problem? How many classes do you have?

I have about 200 classes and thats why manual entering in excel is a problem.
I’ll try runing a query on UNV_CLASS and see.

I know you’ve solved the issue, but you can find another option here. It uses Excel and the Designer SDK to document virtually everything about a universe, including the list of classes.
