Help required for migrating Windows AD users and groups

Hi Techies,

We are planning to migrate SAP BO 4.1 SP 5 from BO XI R2 SP 2.

We have Windows AD authentication configured on BO XI R2.

How do we proceed for Windows AD users and groups migration from BO XI R2 to SAP BO 4.1 SP 5 ?

Should we configure Windows AD in BO 4.1, import users from Active directory and then migrate users from BO XI R2? – In this case will it create copies of AD users and groups?

Please suggest best practise.
