Freehand SQL fields come back as Measures not

          Objects

Mike,

You can fix this by opening up the data cube after running the Freehand
SQL. Then, click on the object you want to make into a dimension and, in
the definition tab, click on the dimension radio button. Click Ok and
you will now have a dimension object for your numeric field.
Unfortunately, you will have to do this individually for each object you
wish to change.

Hope this helps,
Michael

When I write a Freehand SQL statement, the fields returned are
automatically defined as either an Object (if it is a text field) or as a
Measure (if it is a numeric field). Measures are automatically aggregated
which shows me the wrong result.

I have a numeric field (Sequence Number) which I want to uniquely show for
each row, but as a measure it is showing the sum of this field.

For example, Rows in Table:
1 xxx yyy
2 zzz yyy
3 xxx yyy
4 zzz yyy

Result from freehand SQL:
4 xxx yyy
6 zzz yyy

The Data Provider shows all of the rows were brought back, but I can’t
find a way to have it default to show them all or to make all returned
fields Objects instead of Measures.

Any Ideas?

Thanks
Mike
