Failed to Create Empty Document!

I get the following message when i try to Launch Xcelsius 2008. I’m using Xcelsius 2008 SP1 Trial on Windows Vista.

and then a Windows message

which turns out to be flash.ocx.

I tried all the steps mentioned in the below thread. No luck.

I also tried downloading the flash.ocx file and saving it at the following location, No luck so far.:

C:\Windows\System32\Macromed\Flash

Hello Rohit,

Xcelsius 2008 requires Adobe Flash ActiveX component which is not available in Windows Vista by default. You have probably tried to install Flash Player from other browser than IE. Since Adobe doesn’t provide direct links to the component’s installer, a browser specific version is always downloaded. Try installing the player from this site:

http://www.softwarepatch.com/internet/flash.html

After installing, try opening Xcelsius.

Thanks for the tip.

It solved the problem for Xcelsius 2011 and Flash Player 11. I’ve installed the flash plugin for Internet Explorer.

(Apparently, 4 years is not enough for SAP to pu a understandable error message… :roll_eyes: )
