Excell files overwritten

Hi !

I am trying to automate a refresh and a save of my report in .xls by using the BCA. Everything works fine except that BCA saves the report in .xls using the report name (XXX.rep) converted in .xls (XXX.xls).

The consequence is that the report is constantly overwtitten each time BCA saves it. Do you know a way to force BCA to save the file using a file name linked to the time it was saved? “XXX_ddmmyyyy.xls” by example ?

I’ve been told to use a custom macro but I don’t see how to do it.

I think the send mail via vba topic could help you…

because the exported file will be attached to the mail… and usually you name the exports with unique namens… so there could be a start…
off course you don’t need to email your exported files

I changed such a macro ones to create my xls… with different saved names too…
