Does BO have any Event Driven reporting like Cognos does with Event Studio?

For example, if a certain criteria exceeds a threashold, send an email to a group.

In terms of scheduling reports, yes. Event based scheduling is what you need to search for.

This is possible with a Crystal report publication.
Otherwise you could look at a technique suggested by Marek here:-
