ETL functionality: BODI vs SAP BW

Hi,

I was in a project where it was discussed whether to use Bodi, and a traditional data warehouse solution in an open Oracle database, or SAP BW to meet reporting and analysis for an SAP source. An argument for the Bodi solution was that the ETL capabilities and functionality was limited in BW, at least compared with the Bodi, and despite the fact that SAP was single source and benefits of the extractors in BW. Some comments? BW has a very limited ETL functionality?

I would base the decision on the OLAP and BI tools, keep the ETL processes completely out of the loop at the moment. You build a solution for the users, not the ETL person.
