Hoping you might have been this error before and can suggest a fix or parameters we may need to take re-visit or increase.
Our customer is running:
SAP BI 4.0 SP6
When we run /schedule a "12 Month Analysis_ webi report we get the below error :
Message that appears
- Error: A protocol message was rejected because it was too big
(more than 100663296 bytes). To increase the limit (or to disable
these warnings), see CodedInputStream::SetTotalBytesLimit() in
google/protobuf/io/coded_stream.h. (WIS 00000)
We have increased/added the following paramers
Binary Stream Maximum Size parameter in the CMC to 500 and added the following parameters:
For the 64-bit Web Intelligence:[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\SAP BusinessObjects\Suite XI 4.0\default\WebIntelligence\Calculator]
“BICSLOVChunkSize”=“5000”
“BICSResultChunkSize”=“50000”.
and implemented SAP note 1863659 as per SAP instructions.
For the server, change the MaxThreads value to 1 in the following registry location:
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\SAP BusinessObjects\Suite XI 4.0\default\WebIntelligence\Calculator]
For the Webi Rich Client, change the MaxThreads value to 1 in the following registry location:
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\SAP BusinessObjects\Suite XI 4.0\default\WebIntelligence\Calculator].
We are have also followed the best practice for SAP BI 4.0 for adaptive processing servers.
