Your problem is most likely caused by prm files, although that is more normal for Reporter behaviour.
Try changing your prm files for the input date format parameter.
If this is not helping, check how your ODBC sources are set up. Try changing the setting for SQL server messages to the language you are working with.
If that doesn’t help, please post the query itself and the DB you are working with and the version of BO.
