error message during work with BO

Hi to all.

I (actually not only I) have serious problem

Often during work with Business Object Version 5.0 (Windows 95) I receive message"This program has performed an illegal operation and will be shut down":
Details:
"BUSOBJ caused a general protection fault in module GDI.EXE at 0008:00002dda.

And only after restart computer I can open BO again. This happes quite often, e.g.after choosing menu Page Setup… or in Data Provider window.

SAME PROMBLEM EXISTS in WINDOWS NT , but just without message - it simple kick me out and close itself.

I NEED ADVICE. I drown, help somebody!

Our users have gotten this message in BusinessObjects 4.1.5 and it’s during a printing operation. The printing corrupted some registry keys. Is it a very old printer you’re using?

No. We use BusinessObjects 5.0. And its not during printing.

This is a message I saw in version 5.0.0 (often). It disappeared after installation of service pack 1 (BO v. 5.0.1). Hope this helps. Did you opened a call with the BO Helpdesk ?

Kind regards,
