Scenario;
While was working on a Business Objects report. the user clicked on the
save button and, as it was saving, an error message popped up and said
something to the order of, “Cannot save file. Disk space on NWPRD202 (LAN
drive) is full. You may have to delete some files to create space.” It
then returned me to the report I had been working on.
(It turns out that the LAN drive was full at that moment.)
The user closed out of the report by clicking on the “x” in the upper right
hand corner of the Bus Obj window. It didn’t ask them if they wanted to
save changes. They then tried to open the same report again, and it gave
them the error message, “Cannot open file due to an unknown error”
This reoccurred a several times. It seems that not being able to save
properly, corrupts the file.
