domains on multiple nodes on an SP within 1 BizO repo

Hi,

Does anyone have a similiar setup? We have 3 domains: Devl, Test and Prod.
Devl and Test are on one node (machine) and Prod and the Security domain are on another node (machine). We are using Oracle. There is an Oracle listner on the Prod and Security node, and it can not see the databases /domains on the other node. When we try to connect to Test or Devl, as users trying to create a report with a Test or Devl universe, or as a Designer testing a connect string to Test or Devl, etc. it always fails the first time. Try the same thing again, and it works. We are using SQL*NET 2.3 and all of our databases are in our tnsnames.ora file.

Has anyone seem something similar, and does anyone have a suggestion on what to do?

Do you use synchronous or asynchronous connections (see advanced tab of connection)? We have experienced similair problems when using asynchronous connections instead of synchronous connections.
