Hello,

I was requested to analyse 150 universes and 1500 reports :hb:

as a first approach, I want to have the data lineage Database column → Universe → report object.

I found several macro to document 1 universe ( Database column → Universe) but nothing to do a mass job. And I don’t found any tool for the link Universe → report object.

Is there a way to extract from the CMS these info ? or shall I buy some 3rd party tools ?

My client environment : Bo XI 3.0 / Webi reports and Crytal reports

Swissguy, you can check this , might help you a bit -

There is a utility which gives all information regarding a universe and for this it is required to have bo client or server to be installed on your system.

Thanks for the answer.
Ths tool gives me the list of universes and reports but I’m still looking for a utility able to list objects used in a report…
any idea ?

You should look at the BO product Metadata Manager. Complete lineage from ETL>Universe>Report.

You will have to pay for this however.
