Document Domain Not Responding

I have created a document domain in machine X. In supervisor when I test the document domain it indicates ‘responding’. Then I am trying to send a report to this document domain from reporter. It generates an error indicating ‘Document domain is not responding’. Can anybody provide any insight why this is happening ? The report is pointing to an universe which resides in machine Y. Does this mean that universe domain and document domain need to be in same machine ? If yes, then what is the workaround ?

Abhijit,

I believe that Universe and Document domain combination for a specific name like “Human Resources Production” should be having the same connection parameters i.e, same box, same id/pw. Any disparity between the “set” may cause sporadic problems…like this.
