Seems that when I send a document to BCA, ask for a refresh and save as Excel and distribute via the file system, the REPORT is saved in the server folder that I choose (on the WebI/BCA Server) and the excel spreadsheet is saved in the documents folder under the cluster.
Is this the behavior that I should expect.
I was trying to/hoping to save the Excel spreadsheet to a mapped drive.
Forget about the Distribution tab. When you select Save as Excel as an action then click on the Properties button and choose where you want the spreadsheet to be saved. The file system option within the Distribution tab is for reports only.
Donโt forget that you canโt use mapped drives either (I believe). Since the processes run as a service, the mapped drives do not actually ever get mapped. So, you have to use UNC format.
