Displaying Prompt based on value from another prompt.

Hi Experts,

I have one problem. I am generating reports on matter management system using BOX1 R2 desktop intelligence. My problem is
I need to display the matters. Matters can in be in two states 1. Open 2. Closed.
I created a prompt for selecting Closed or Open. Now, i want to create a prompt that will prompt for closed dates…means when value for the first prompt is Closed, we need to have another prompt which will ask user to enter the closing date for the matter.

Please provide me with some useful tips. It will be really appreciable.

Thanks and Regards

Prompts cannot be created dependent on each other

But seeing your requirement it looks that you just need a second prompt with cascading LOV for the matter object(closed or opened) to pass date range to bring data for the value passed in first prompt, either closed or opened
Which means the value for matter need to be passed twice, in the first prompt and in the cascading LOV of secon d prompt

Read cascading prompts from forum FAQ

Navneet,

Is it a Single Data Provider or Multiple Data Provider. If Its Multiple Data Provider we have An option in Desktop Intelligence to pass the Prompt values

Thanks,
Joseph.
