DeskI XI 3.1 - Add Dynamic Tabs

Hi All,

We have a requirement where I need to add tabs dynamically based on the Section Name. A 2nd part of that would be to integrate it with the row level security and be able to schedule it.

(All this is done right now - combined with hard coded tabs, multiple reports and the row level security. Need to find a better way to manage changes and get away from hard coded approach)

I was able to add hard coded tabs using VBA macros, though I am fairly new to DeskI.

Is this possible, i.e to dynamically add tabs?
Will the macro work from InfoView?
Would I need to create a vbs or a VB program for it to work with InfoView.
When this report will be scheduled, will the macros trigger off?
Or would i need to write a scheduler code as well ?

Any direction or suggestions, would be very helpful.

Give this a try … Create report tab and filter for each value. While I haven’t tested it, I can’t see anything obvious that would keep it from working via InfoView / Scheduler (assuming Windows servers, of course).
