delete tomcat work directory to resolve lingering BO issue?

I have a lingering issue that I am trying to resolve on our test server and would like to delete the tomcat work directory to see if it resolves the issue.

I just wanted to make sure that deleting the work directory on E:\BOE INSTALL DIR\Tomcat7\work\Catalina\localhost is indeed a viable possible process? I would of course back up the directory but I wanted to make sure that once I shut down tomcat, delete the directory, then bring tomcat back up that the folders I deleted would refresh by themselves?

Yes, the work directory and content will get re-created when you restart Tomcat - I’ve done this 100’s of times
