Datasource Name Not Found No Default Driver Specified

Hi,
I am seeing an error while running Webintelligence report 4.1. The report is migrated from BO XI 3.1 to BO 4.1. The database connection to the report is Sybase. I have created the ODBC connection and the connection is working well and able to export the universe and also report is getting refreshed from Webirich client but when I run the report from BI launch pad I am getting an error as "Datasource name not found error and no default driver specified . Please refer to SAP article 2054721 on SAP support portal(IES 10901)

I do not know how to install the drivers on the server can you please explain me with steps.

You will need to create the same ODBC connection on the Webi server. Launchpad doesn’t use the ODBC connections on your computer.

And note that on the server you will need to create a 64 bit driver.

Hi ,
I have installed the 64 bit ODBC driver and have set up the System DSN connection. The connection is working fine and tested the universe but still seeing the same error as Data Source name not found and no default driver specified. Please suggest any more changes to be done.

I was searching forums and found to add the 64 bit driver dll details to .ODBC.INI file but nothing is working.

Any suggestions to resolve the issue will be appreciated.

Which OS is the BOE server running on?

There is a reference to dlls lower down - isn’t that Windows only?

Hi Team,
Thank you for the instructions. The ODBC connection is added on the server machine with the same datasource name and able to connect to the database and refresh the data.
