The Data Warehouse Toolkit by Ralph Kimball. It is our “Bible” and was the foundation for our DataMart and very successful implementation.

actually if you get The Data Warehouse Lifecycle Toolkit, you’ll find more of a methodology. We are finding that the methodology is smart, lightweight. and pretty complete. And this book includes most of the info from the Data Warehouse Toolkit…
steer clear of the Inmon book for anything other than tangential references to a specific question…there is some good material in his books…but there is not even remotely the amount of practical ‘been there done that’ advice that you’ll find in Ralph’s books…
just my thoughts…
