Data Services and SAP Long Text

Does anybody know if Data Services would have any issues reading long text from an ECC instance?

Werner,

Is there a CREATE_TEXT corollary for the Z_AW_READ_TEXT function? It doesn’t exist in the ABAP function package, but would it be possible to create one to use in Data Services? We are in the process of migrating master data into SAP via IDocs, and would like a way to set the long text values, if there is a way.

DataServices itself can call any RFC function, so if you know one or write one yourself…

Thanks for the response. I’ve found that the IDoc message that I’m using has a segment for the long text. I was able to create a single line of long text, and am just trying to figure out how to create multiple lines now.
