DAS 4.1.3

Hello again,

This time it is regarding the executable provided by BO which is to be used to install DAS as Windows NT service on a Windows NT Server.

We used this executable named “srvdas.exe” and installed our DAS. We configured the service to be started automatically by a user account. So far its good.

There is some problem when the NT Server is rebooted and the service has to be started automatically. The service seems to start and gets terminated immediately or just after a few seconds. I say this because when we start the DAS as an application, it starts in “Console” mode. Hence there must be something which is killing DAS.

Any pointers to this problem ???

Thanks In Advance,
Chandrashekar.S

PS : We stopped the service before rebooting the NT Server.
We are using Windows NT Server 4.0 and Oracle 7.3.3

Is your repository database on the same NT Server as the DAS? If so, perhaps the database hasn’t started up yet. I’ve found that we have to wait a couple of minutes for Informix to get started after a reboot before we can start the DAS.

I am sorry. I didn’t mention our configuration. Here it goes…

BO Repository : Oracle 7.3.3 on HP UNIX 9000 DAS : Windows NT server 4.0
Middleware : SQL*Net 2.3

Thanks again.
