Create universe based on subject areas

Hi ,

I need to create a unviverse based on the subject areas each subject comprising repated dimension ,Currently i have 16 fact tables and 12 dimensions

Could you please guide me in understanding the best practises ,pro's and cons to be carried out

Hi

It would be good idea to have universe on subject area,i suggest you couple of points to makes easy to build your universe.

Identify the subject area based on your business/fact.
Identify the common dimension in your warehouse (Say Time Dimension, Location Dimension,Customer Dim)
Identify if any dimension table specific to the subject.

Put all together and design your universe, and create required context if you have multiple fact on a subject.
