After we upgraded to version 6, many of our users could not see the ‘New Document’ link. However, the general supervisor could.
All users were in a group called ‘WebI Users’ which inherited the ‘Create Documents’ from the parent, which was the root group in supervisor. After the upgrade from 5 to 6, none of the users in the ‘WebI Users’ group could see the ‘New Document’ link.
However, once we explicitly granted this permission to the group ‘WebI Users’, this problem was solved.
Has anyone else seen this problem? BO Tech support was unable to reproduce this.
More importantly, has anyone seen this issue with any permissions other than ‘Create Documents’?
We found that this occurred on both 6.1a and 6.1b.
