Do you have a SECURE connection?

Do you have write-grant to the repository?

Is your user enabled to export?

You know, the General Supervisor can disable export to some (dangerous! ) users!

Do you have a SECURE connection? YES

Do you have write-grant to the repository? HOW TO CHECK THIS?

Is your user enabled to export? YES

You know, the General Supervisor can disable export to some (dangerous! ) users! I AM GS here …

Thanks

have you checked if the user who make the export has in supervisor, rights to overwrite univers if it is present on the repository ? (is it the first time you publish it or it’s an update and this univers is already on the repository ?)

Please, follow the suggest of prd_cv1.

You have to log in as General Supervisor in “Supervisor” module, and then click on the ICON of your user, so you can check if the grant to overwrite universe if existing is enabled or disabled.

Let us know!

Are you working with multiple domains? We had (end of 2003, 6.1a) some time ago same messages. We just removed the universe from the repository and exported again… Still don’t know what real problem was, all the rights seemed to be Okay… This problem only occured when we exported the unv to the production-domain and we wanted to reexport a newer version to the development domain.

No i have only one Universe and Document Domain.

Thanks

Is it related with mismatch of Universe ID (OLD and Updated One). Any thoughts. Will Scan / Repair and Compact help?

Thanks

You can try, but be careful and keep a backup if you can.

have you the same problem exporting reports ? maybe the repository database full ??? what is the error msg code ? (like da0005)

Ajay – very often, error message dialog boxes will have a “Details” button that you can click for more information – if you can, click that, and it may give some other helpful troubleshooting info.

Hi ALL

Thanks for your prompt responses. But my problem get resloved.

Actualy Could not Export Universe is a “Warrning” message and not an Error so i was not able to go in much detail abt that.
I followed following steps and my problem get resloved finally.

  1. i took a Back up of Repository
  2. Back up of Universe
  3. From Supervisor --> Tool --> Delete Universe
  4. Scan–> Compact (To delete Universe Permanantly from repository)
  5. Scan–> Repair
  6. Then export universe back to Repository domain.

After this its working fine.

Again thanks for all your support.

Another option to this would have been to do this with a General Supervisor id. Do you think this would have worked?

u mean login as GS and export universe. If yes then i face this problem when i logged in as GS only.
