I extracted BusObj Utilities.rea file.
but how to use that?

copy it in a bo folder like script.
then, in bo reporter, go to tools/add ins, then browse to localise the rea file. then depending on the rea, it will add a menu item after the help menu or an icon you will use to lauch it

Thanks for your help.
I have followed your steps.
Tools -> Add ins , i browsed the .rea file , now it’s showing “BusObj Utilities” checked in Add-ins available box.
But i can’t see anywhere in tool bar. Am I missing anything ?

Isn’t a doc provided with trhe rea macro explaining the way you have to install and use it ?

Couldn’t you simply save the report tab as a template and apply it on your other document?
Thanks for your suggestion.
Actually my requirement is that I’m working on one tab of the report and i need to add additional Definition tab in that report . But to add new tab,I have to wait till i finish my current work.
I wanted to work on additional tab in parallel so that afterwards i can merge both.
I think I can do that by saving as template since the definition page would be constant.
I’ll update you soon if it works fine.

Hey MarkP, you have an issue with your signature’s picture. It’s appears to be a dead link

Cheers, I’ll fix it tonight. It’s a football forum (soccer not egg chasing) so it will probably be in the banned list at work!
I have tried creating a definition page as template (.ret) and applied the same on my report. it works fine.
Thanks Mark for your suggestion.

For completeness, the utility referenced here copies data providers and variables between documents, but not report tabs.

Hi Dwayne,
I extracted the utility .rea file but don’t know how to use that ?
If there are any documentation on that , please let me know.

I updated the author’s notes here. That should get you started.

Dwayne,
Do you have a utility to copy a report tab from one document to another?
Thanks!
