I’ve created a connection to IQ 12.4 using Business Objects’ Generic ODBC (driver is Adaptive Server IQ 12 - v6.00.02.2326) Everything works fine … until I’m using ‘Synchronous mode’ That means that I cannot break a running query ! Unfortunately !!
For the scepticals, if a try to use ‘Asynchronous mode’, I get the following message “A connection is required to refresh this document is unavailable (DA004)” each time I try to run a query using this connection.
So, what I need is to create a connection that can reply to a user break
We have the same problem. Also, there is a problem where setting the maximum number of rows to be returned doesn’t work properly. This means that (for example) once BO has received 5000 rows, it ignores all the others, but does not stop the query from continuing until all rows have been returned (although the user can cancel it at this point.)
