Which version? How powerful is the computer - RAM, processor, free disk space, etc.? Are you sure you are running out of memory, or is there some other issue? Have you verified that the user(s) can log in on other machines?

I watched the memory in Task Manager. It ate up 2 gig before I got the out of memory error. It does not happen on the login, just trying to lauch the application. It is at version 6.0.

Well, I have no specific suggestions then. I have not heard of this problem before, but 6.0 was full of bugs.
Does this happen on other PCs?
Maybe you need to uninstall and re-install.

Maybe, you should really upgrade to Business Objects v6.1b

One other suggestion – are you double-clicking a report to launch BusinessObjects? If so, you could try just logging in, so that it isn’t trying to open what may be a very big report at the same time.

Sounds like the same problem we had when going from 517 to 518. It was a problem to do with how prompts were handled. We had to back out to 517 because there was no fix.
