Compare values.

Can this be done? Compare the values between 2 separate tables each created by a separate query and each from a different universe? I’m able to do this comparison when only one universe is involved but not successful when 2 universes are involved. Just want to do a simple percentage calculation. Table 1.value divided by Table 2.value

Thanks for you help.

Did you manually link (necessary, because your are using two universes) your two data providers on all common dimensions?

No because we have not benchmarked this yet. In other words, if I hook these universes together, numbers may not be accurate…but separately, the universes work fine. So, your suggestion is the only way it seems?

You do not “hook the universes together”, but you link the data providers!

I understand (in theory). I have not done this before. I better get the user guide out and start reading huh?

Start with this:

How to link data providers:
S. Bickerton “Solving the Mystery of Data Provider Synchronization” from the Business Objects user conference 2002 in Miami: http://www.bonymaug.com/reporter.htm or http://www.bonymaug.com/Presentations/synchofdataprov1.zip

Thanks very much. Doesn’t seem too difficult.
