Column Headings cannot be edited

I have a report with multiple data providers that has been working fine. I added some columns and removed some other and for some reason I cannot edit the column headings.

Every time i double click in the column heading and then type to edit it I get an error “Variables are not compatible (DMB0008)” and the text in the column heading is not updated (stays with the original text).

I’m using BO 6.5 Full Client.

Any suggestions?

You will get this error, if you are combining and bringing data into a single block from 2 or more DP’s.

In my opinion, you should build the block from scratch, then you can rename your column headings.

Thanks for the advice. I found some additional information from Dave Rathburn at the bottom of another post (link to the post below) that was exactly my problem: A linked object that was in the report that was no longer linked.
