Have a look at this thread :-
If you uncomment the following in web.xml it will make the sessioncount more stable in the CMC.
You still can’t manually kills sessions, but its worth uncommenting this section if you do have Tomcat - just to see if it gets rid of stray sessions that still show people logged in (even when you know they have logged off.
One point to note though - I still have a problem if people have used the Java Webi applet. It appears that this creates a new session which is not cleaned up by the above code. When the user then logs off - their session is still visible in the CMC, requiring a recycle of the CMS to get rid of it
