My version is : SAP BI 4.2 SP5
The CMC welcome page (page after login page) is very long to appear after typing user/pwd (1 mn 30 s).
We use 4.2 since 2 months. This was not the case at the beginning.
Any idea ?

Try to remove all the temporary files and internet cache files from your web page. then it will take very lesstime to login

I cleaned up temp files and cache but nothing change. Still between 1 and 2 mn for the welcome page to display after login to CMC.

Check the CMS metric average query time…

Check the number of groups you are a member of.
I’ll bet your user is a member of many groups, and unfortunately, then this is a known issue.
What is happening when you log on is, that the system has to check the security of each and everyone of the groups you are a member of, and that takes time.
Supposedly to be fixed in 4.2 SP07
