We are in the process of migrating to Internet Explorer 5. We are currently using WebI 2.5 with IE4. In the testing of WebI with IE5, I found that I could not publish WebI documents. If when attempting to publish a report, I switch the document domain from the default to another domain the destination group disappears. This means that I cannot select a destination group and therefore cannot publish the document. Also if I switch the domain from the default to another domain then back again to the original domain, the destination group is still missing.
I thought originally that this problem may be because my ID was in two separate groups with different rights to the domains in question. We have seen problems like that in the past. But that is not the case, when I tested this with an ID that is only in one group the same problem still occurred.
I also tested this against WebI 2.5.1, which we have installed on a test server. The same problem occurred once again.
Has anyone seen this problem using IE5 or other browsers? Any solutions? Migrating to IE5 is a high priority at this client so I have to solve this quickly. Any help would be appreciated.
Hi Dave,
I can not offer a solution or much of an insight, but I thought that I would pass along one thing that I have found.
IE 5.0 makes some changes to the NT operating system. For example we found that IE 5.0 killed the native AT scheduler on our server. We installed IE 5.0 before WebI and we have not had any problems with WebI, perhaps you need to reinstall?

There is a service patch for just this problem, CSP32… Ask for it by name : )
BUT, watch out, same problem exists under Send Documents to Users… not patched yet, but I have reported it. it is specific to IE5, as far as we can tell…
If you can’t get this patch , let me know, I do have it in house… it is an update to the DefaultPublishFrame.wis…
