Can we read all Objects from .rep file

Hi, I am new to BO and BO SDK.

I need to read the BO report file, .rep and store the values in a file.

I have installed BO 5.1 and I do not have the SDK key yet.

I believe we could read the BO .rep file using BO SDK, can someone please post some SDK samples.

Welcome to B:bob:B!

You will have to open the file with Business Objects first. It’s not possible to read the file without opening it. With the file open, the best method of “reading” the results is to export to a text file. The specific methods of exporting to text differ whether you are looking for the data provider results, or the results as displayed on the report page. Answer that question for us, and we’ll be able to nudge you in the right direction.

Hi Thanks for the immediate reply.

I am trying to read the metadata of the report, not the report output.

I am trying to read the Queries, and other objects used in the report.

Please do help me on this.

Hi, I have already tested this tool, it works fine.

But I wanted to read the .rep file and extract the queries using BO API’s.
