Can we email report to users

hi all

I have requirement as i have to email the report to End users

can you guys explain me in what way i can do that.

Email to user using a regular mail server? should not be a problem go to file>send to >mail> if I understood you correctly.
However mailing reports has issues if there are UDO’s on the report I got to make search for other obvious problems.

To send by email, you can :

  • send email by attaching the .rep file
  • directly make in BO : File \ Send To \ Mail
    Other solution :
  • send it by the referential : File \ Send To \ Users. When the user will open BO, he will have a notification.
    If end users have to refresh the query, you must check they can access the universe.

Also, there is a product called Publisher that will allow automatic scheduling of the emailing, etc. (kind of like Broadcast Agent).

You can also write some VBA code that will do this automatically when a macro is run. See here for some ideas.

Sorry for delayed reply .

As guys said Bo reporter file–>send to -->email

i dnt have that option all that i have is

file–>send to -->users
–>BCA

please give me better idea

You don’t see the option (Send Documents to MAPI) because it has been disabled in Supervisor. You could ask to have the option enabled. If it can not be enabled you will have to use some of the suggestions already posted in this thread.
