can I run a query with prompt empty?

Dear All,
I quick question please -
In a BO query I have 2 prompts, Can I run the query with one prompt filled with value from the list and other prompt empty?
It doesn’t allow me to run the query until I fill the values.
Is there any way out or?
Best Reagrds.

Nope.

You would need to fill all the prompts. (In Full Client)

There could be several workarounds but would all depend on what exactly is the requirement…

Thanks Anjan,
I was trying to migrate a report from Oracle builder to BO, trying to map it exactly same. I guess I will make it more simpler with BO.
I will use the list of values option.
Thanks for your quick reply.
Best Regards.

how do you create condition without another side

Resolution:
1 predefined condition(display one or more prompts depends on your requirement)
2 SDK (through sdk we can fill the prompt before refresh)

When most people want to leave a prompt empty, they really mean don’t put a condition on this field. Is that what you mean? This is often referred to as an “optional” prompt, and this FAQ topic will give you some ideas on how to handle it. It still requires the prompt to be filled in, but it effectively gets ignored in the SQL if a certain value is entered.
