My users like the handy way of grouping values to form a new variable. They wonder if it is possible to copy this variable and use it in another report or do they have to reconstruct the variable again in the new report?

the grouped variable have to recreated. We cant use a grouped variable (Local variable) in another report.

Hi Susan,
We can copy the variables from one report to another,
I have used this in past, where i had copied one variable,
e.g. clint’s logo, and page numbers, client’s name etc, those were once copied were directly created into data manager.
But not sure whether this is applicable which universe based report’s functions.
coz (ooooops! because) the variables i described above are created on the report only. not from the universe.
So will have to check whether same can be done or not.
Shall get back to you if finds it on the working day.

Generically, no … but you might find this VBA add-in useful.
