Calculating duration in minutes between two date time stamps

I am trying to figure out a way to calculate the duration of time in minutes between two date and time stamps. My date and time stamp are in the format of:

01/09/2008 09:36:50 AM

So for example if my start time is 01/09/2008 09:36:50 AM and end time is 01/10/2008 09:36:50 AM it will return 1440

Any help in this matter would be great. I am using BusinessObjects Enterprise XI Release 2 Infoview

I am trying to create a variable in Desktop Intelligence XI that will give me the diff between two dates. I used “=DaysBetween(<Admit Date & Time> ,<Order Date & Time>)” and I get just days. Is there a way to get his broke down to hours, minutes and seconds? djohnson (BOB member since 2007-07-26)
